Select Analysis, Probability Distributions, Student t Distribution.
Enter a positive integer (such as 10) for the number of degrees of freedom.
Enter either the value of the t test statistic or enter the cumulative area to the right of a t test statistic (such as 0.025).
Click on Evaluate.
Results include the value of t, and several different cumulative areas:
Left: The cumulative area to the left of the t test statistic
Right: The cumulative area to the right of the t test statistic
2 Tailed: Twice the area of the tail region beyond the t test statistic
Central: The area between –t and t
(The value given for “Prob Dens” (probability density) is the height of the graph of the normal distribution at the given value of t. This value is typically not used in the introductory statistics course.)
